Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at jabaricthomas@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

The Liminal Arts is an intimate, immersive experience built around mysterious artifacts and the unusual histories surrounding them. You’ll examine the objects, hear their stories, and participate in experiments inspired by their accounts.

No. There is no stage and no conventional magic-show format. The artifacts and their stories are at the center of the experience.

You"ll encounter the objects, hear the unusual accounts surrounding them, and experience what happens when those stories are brought to the table.

Yes. The objects shown in The Liminal Arts Archive are real, physical artifacts from the collection. The photographs on this site depict the actual objects—not replicas or stock images.

Not at all. Skepticism is welcome. We do not ask that you believe the stories. We simply invite you to examine them.

The experience is designed to create suspense, curiosity, nervous laughter, and occasionally uncomfortable silence—not to function as a traditional haunted house. Some subject matter may be disturbing.

Not at all. The stories may be strange and things can become unsettling, but there’s plenty of room for laughter.

As a Black man raised in the South, your curator brings his own skepticism, humor, and cultural perspective to the strange things sitting on the table. Sometimes we question what we’re hearing. Sometimes we question what we just saw. And sometimes the only reasonable response is, “Absolutely not.”

The laughter is part of the experience too.

An artifact is placed before you.

You’ll hear where it came from, the history surrounding it, and the strange claims that have followed it through the years.

Then the artifact becomes part of the experience.

Something may happen. Something may become unexpectedly personal. Or you may simply leave with more questions than you arrived with.

We don’t ask you to believe.

Only to experience it for yourself.

No. Participation is always voluntary. You’re welcome to simply observe if you’d rather not take part in a particular part of the experience.

Private experiences are designed for intimate groups of up to 10 guests, allowing everyone to remain close to the artifacts and involved in the experience.

Approximately 75 minutes, depending on the artifact presented and the interaction of the group.

Because some experiences involve disturbing histories, unsettling themes, and genuine suspense, the experience is primarily intended for mature audiences.

Expect something closer to being invited into a private archive than attending a conventional show.

The objects arrive. Their histories are opened. And then the experience begins.

There will be curiosity, laughter, strange stories, genuine suspense, and moments that may catch everyone completely off guard. It's meant to be entertaining, unsettling, and above all, fun.

What happens around the table- and how your guess respond- is part of what makes every experience different.
